The original release of 3.01 had severe issues with the TrackIR 1. The issues were in the smoothing code. This is why you have probably noticed severe problems with stuttering and jumpy views. The smoothing was bad.

NP pulled 3.01 off the internet, fixed it, and put it back up. The version that is on the webpage right now is the "good" version of 3.01.

[QB]When you say the original release of 3.01, do you actually mean 3.00 that was released, or did NP rlease 2 versions of 3.01 also? I thought they only pulled 3.00 and released on 3.01, hence the number change.
But your right there was major smoothing fixes done in 3.01 and everybody should be sure to have the latest version.

Yes, I am totally confused. Did you guys put 2 versions of 3.01 out? I still have a delay in the tracking unless I replug my TIR everytime I reboot my system. I have no idea how to fix that.

I did DL the latest 3.0.1 driver and follwed your instructions. Intermittently, I have tracking problems:

1. there's a distinct "lag" or delay in tracking , as observed both in game and on the motion screen.

2. Sometimes, when I load IL-2 FB, TrackIR doesn't work, even when the software shows "tracking" and everything is OK in the motions screen.

I'm returning to 2.11 for the time being. Hope this gets ironed out.

OK, snake made a good point in the post right after this one.

It WAS 3.00 that was pulled, not 3.01. For some reason, I got all mixed up in which version was which.

Although, it does appear the re-download and re-install did fix one persons problems.

Oh well, sorry for the mix up.
