Have you tried pointing the driver install, to the TrackIR folder\drivers?

I have the problem that my track ir 4 pro only works with the 4.1.030 final B software. The device isn't found with newer software. Why?
I use Win2k.

What version have you tried using?

When the unit is installed, is it listed under USB devices, or NaturalPoint devices, in the system device manager?

Have you tried manually updating the drivers, when the newer software is installed?

I have tried to use the 4.1.037 final and 5.0 beta 3 software.
The unit is listed under NaturalPoint devices.
I have tried several install strategies:
- uninstalling old software and installing new software
- installing new software without uninstalling the old one

The new software doesn't identify the device or is hanging up
but in the registry it seems to be ok.

Sorry little mistake:

With 4.1.037 final and 5.0 beta 3 software the unit is listed under NaturalPoint devices, with 4.1.030 final B software under USB devices.

The NPRegFix.exe doesn't work.

And when using the new software, you have tried manually updating the drivers to the one located in the TrackIR folder?

Yes, I did it but then the software often hangs up or the device is not found.

Any other applications running in the background?

Isolate the TrackIR unit, on the USB hub?
