FSX will only be compatable with the latest version of our software, which only supports the TrackIR 3 and 4. Where did you purchase the unit? You could return it to the place of purchase and get a newer tTrackIR unit.

was an ebay seller so i cant replace it, is it not possible to run enhanced mode like in 2004?

would it be so hard to support, is there anything remarkably different about FSX that prevents it from being workable on Tir2 software?

There are complete differences in the actual hardware between the TrackIR 2 and 3. The design team changed hardware chips, and firmware programming, which will not connect through the new software and the new hardware, is not compatible with the old software.

We currently have no plans for updating the TrackIR product line.

The TrackIR 2 is still supported in the Operating systems and hardware that were around when the product was released, the issue is that it doesn't have the ability to keep up the changes that have happened in the computer industry since its release.
