IL-2 Sturmovik

I know the game supports only 2dof, but is it compatible with the Vector hardware? If so, what do I need to do to get it to work, because it doesn't? If not, is it compatible with TIR3 Enhanced Mode? I ask because mouse emulation stinks.

The original IL-2 is not compatible with the "enhanced" mode of TrackIR, and can only use mouse emulation.

IL2 - Forgotten Battles, and the expansion packs that follow, are all TrackIR enhanced games while still being in 2DOF. Which means no mouse emulation.

To add to what vincent said,
you can use the vector technology to improve performance in 2DOF games.
with the vector technology your TrackIR will know the difference between your leaning and your rotation, so the device will be much less sensitive to various tiny motions you may perform without meaning to rotate the 2DOF view.
