I downloaded and added the files from http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/03- ... tor-x.html and updated my game profiles as instructed by "check for game updates". However, FSX is not listed in the profiles list.

I know this is beta and not supported, but any pointers here to assist. Did I miss a step?

Try just copying over the downloaded files, and not doing a game update.
