About to upgrade to 3.10 after all the good stuff I've heard about it. Few questions first:

1. I have trackIR 1 running the original 2.0 software. How much better is 3.10 given I've tweaked 2.0 to my content?

2. Have the uninstallation issues been sorted out? i.e. is it completely automated now? I ask because my previous upgrade attempts (2.01?) ended up in disaster.

3. How happy are trackIR 1 users with the software? (final reassurance )

I changed to the 3.10 drivers and like them. The motion is smoother, and the device seems more tolerant of peripheral light sources.

That said, I still have occasional problems with "lagging"; the slow response of the panning motion to the movement of the reflective dot, a problem with TIR1 and earlier versions of the 3.X software. My solution has been to unplug and then immediately re-plug the USB cable into a new USB port. (I tried a powered hub but the problem still surfaced).

Let me be clear...I prefer the new driver (3.10) and the problem is very occasional so far.

All of the testing that I have done with this unit presented no problems at all.

If anyone else is experiencing any strange effects when using the 3.10 drivers with TrackIR1 please e-mail me.

Thanks for the input Rudi. Yes, I'm having some "jerky/laggy" kind of tracking that seems to come and go. Never had that with the original 2.0's I was using.

It seems to resolve spontaneously and on other occasions it doesn't? Haven't tested unplugging the tracker, I'll try it out. I don't know what's causing it but it is REALLY annoying when it happens and is worse than the "stickiness" of the 2.0 software when reaching 180� in IL2:FB. (the fabled Linda Blair view)
