Can't install 3.1 Driver

I've tried everything!
When I first got my TrackIR I had a similar problem. (I did e:mail Tech support but had no reply)
The drivers seem to install OK but when I plug in the TrackIR I get "USB device" found and not "naturalpoint..etc...etc... The only way I could fix this originally was to re-format and re-install XP.
I'm not willing to do that again....
Thank goodness for the restore facility in XP as the 1.22 Beta drivers still work OK.
I'm really disappointed as I've heard good things about the new drivers, also I doubt I'll be able to upgrade to TrakIR3 or TrackIR3 Pro as the same sotftware problem may persist.
Any ideas?

Simon,
Let me understand your problem correctly. You have a TrackIR1 and you have installed the 3.10 drivers and now you can not get the device to be recognized?
If you return to your previous drivers then everything works okay?
As I said in a previous post I am not in work at the moment, and I dont have access to my files, but I will help from here.
When you installed the new drivers did you unplug your unit? Did you plug your unit into the same port as you have been using during the hardware install routine?
Can you send me a copy of your "setupapi.log on monday morning after you have installed the new drivers, and I will have a look at the install log that was made.
If you make a Restore point before you start then it will be easy to revert back to the previous drivers.
During my time with NaturalPoint there has never been one single e-mail that I have not answered.

Where will I find the 'setupapi.log' - I haven't explicitly looked for it but don't remember seeing it either.

Yes on both counts.
RE: My previous e;mail - it must have got 'lost in the post' then NP

Simon,
Sorry that I didnt get back you you yesterday.
Your 'setupapi.log' can be found in the Windows directory. Just do a search for the above on your system.
Did you un-install your previous version first?
What happens if you re-install the previuos drivers, do they still work?
