I'll post this here as only TrackIR 1 users are affected as I understand it.

Lockon with patch 1.02 won't work with 2.11 drivers (as far as I can tell). The advice (from the lockon forums) is to upgrade to 3.xx drivers.

Is there any way to get 2.11 drivers to work ? And without being too technical - is there any explanation of why they don't work, and 3.xx do ?

3.xx drivers have never worked well for me, in il2-fb at any rate. I've never much cared as I have always been able to use 2.11 drivers. But now this situation has arisen.

So, what to do, what to do ....

The 2.11 drivers work - you need to hit F-8 twice and Lomac 1.02 will recognize TrackIR.

I will get the latest patch installed on our system along with TrackIR1 so that i can test this, there appears to be no problems with the later versions.

The TrackIR1 guys are having problems with 3.11 causing a .5 second lag between head motion and response. It happens after the new drivers have been running for a few days. Unplugging and reconnecting TrackIR cures the problem for a while.
The other problem I've seen is when hosting IL-2 FB AEP is corruption of textures in memory after flying for three hours. Rebooting doesn't solve this problem which is strange. If you like I could send you a screenshot of a psychedelic P-40 cockpit.

This is very strange, I have not been able to make this happen.
Is this only happening while in a online game?

As soon as you look out of the dead zone ( 0 movement ) the screen wobbles/ jitters slightly . It happens in IL2FB Aces, and LOMAC with my Track IR1

I have tried tweaking the profile but nothing fixes it.
I only put on the new drivers to get Lomac working with the new patch.

I just tried uninstalling 3.11 to install 2.11 and the program wouldnt find my TIR.

2.11 installed OK but i didnt get the pop up windows when i pluged the TIR back in, and the green light didnt come on.

Had to re install 3.11 to fix it.
Works smothly with 3.11 again but will probably go bad again soon.

Can anyone tell me the correct way to uninstall 3.11 and install 2.11?

The most common reason for this is not un-installing the later software first.
After the un-install as completed you will need to remove the files at the prompt and reboot your computer, to delete the reg keys.

I thought i would try again but i cant find a TIR program to uninstall in Control Panel Add remove Prog list.
Also there is no uninstall file in the program folder.
The first time i tried i thought the 2.11 software would uninstall previous versions like 3.11 does.
The two above methods are the only way i know to uninstall in XP.

any suggestions?

i have been using 2.01b for years and had no reason to change till the LOMAC Patch came along. Until now TIR has been one of the most reliable bits of hardware i have purchased.
