Feature request

I wonder if it would be possible to have the smartnav pointer be available after performing a system restore? I am a quadriplegic, and I cannot use the mouse or keyboard at all, and after performing a system restore, you need to be able to click on an okay button before your desktop reappears.

As we all know, Windows is not the most reliable piece of software out there, and system restore often comes in handy when updating drivers and whatnot.

Hmmmmm, well the system restore loads just the basic drivers to boot up, before it restores the image and loads all the other software, and the SmartNAV would have to be in the OS code as a startup driver.

I will ask the development team if this is possible..........

OK, currently it looks like this isn't possible with the current version of the software, but we will look at adding to a future version of the hardware/software.

That would be really great. Thanks.

You know you're talking with a computer tech when he says "no issues" instead of "no problem".

One more thing I thought about: I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking in conjunction with my smartnav, but the smartnav prevents me from using the Dragon NaturallySpeaking ability to "say what I see". In other words, I can't say something like "file menu" because the smartnav seems to interfere with Dragon taking over the mouse pointer. The mouse override delay in the smartnav control panel doesn't help in this case.

I was wondering if it would be possible for the smartnav driver to recognize this situation and allow Dragon to take over the mouse pointer for a short time, just as it does now when you move the actual mouse?

I will ask the development team.
