3D - 2D problems

Hi,
today I received my TrackIR4 and it is ...... GREAT !!!
BUT .... I usually fly FS9 in windowed mode.
As I started TrackIR4 the first time all worked fine, but when I switched to 2D (Alt-Tab) problems began.
I could use TrackIR4 in 2D, but when trying to switch to 3D again monitor 1 view crashed!
I wasn't able to fix it without logging out.
Seems to be a conflict with the graphics, but I don't know how to fix.
Never had this problem before installing TrackIR4.
My graka = NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200
I hope someone gets a sollution for this.

Hmmm, very strange.
So the TrackIR is working in the 2D cockpit of FS 2004?
What happens in VC mode?

Sorry, my mistake.
I mean when in VC and switching to Full Screen the problem occured.
Now it's impossible to switch back to windowed mode.

OK -
If you are in the VC mode, and full screen, are you unable to pull up the menu screen (Alt Key), and then go to view - and uncheck the full screen mode?

In full screen mode I'm able to uncheck the full screen in the menu bar, but then trouble begins.
When FS switches to windowed mode the screen starts flickering and I can't do anything but ... alt-tab and back to full screen.
Very strange! Also when stopping FS in full screen by pushing Ctrl-Pause/Break, I can't use my monitor.

How much ram is on your video card?

this geforce has 128 mb on board.
But don't worry about this problem as it only occurs when flying in fullscreen (and I never do).
Except for this problem --> GREAT STUFF

Just seems really odd, and you are running the latest geforce video card drivers?

I think my problem is bigger than I thought.
Yesterday evening my PC crashed totally and after a lot of testing I think my motherboard is damaged.
I can't start from HD neither from CD (windows).
I can't figure out what the problem is, but i suppose the IDE bus is damaged.
So I know what to do, building a new PC

P.S. I hope TrackIr is not responsible for this problem

I know of no way that the TrackIR could damage the motherboard.
Sorry to hear ablot the system wide issue you are having....
