Hi I got the TrackIR 2 and software version 2.12
I would like to know if the trackir 2 will be compatible with Windows Vista ? I hope so.

Currently there are no plans to update the older versions of the TrackIR/SmartNAV software to be fully supported within Windows Vista. Unfortunately the software is no longer in active production, and may or may not function in the Vista OS.

oh there is very very bad support for trackir. Look out all trackir users. I brought 3 trackir and I got no support. this company is interested in making money. Happy Christmas

Yes we are interested in making money, but we don't put that ahead of trying to help the customer.
From the forum postings, an emails that you have sent into us, you are using the SmartNAV line of products (according to the serial #). Unfortunately the last version of the software that is compatible with that hardware hasn't been in development for over 3.5 years. Sometimes things just become out dated, and can't be used on new hardware/software, such as Vista. The software will continue to work in the OS that it was designed for, but may or may not work with any other OS (Vista). We are sorry for this inconvenience, but it is not possible to update the older software.
If you also have a TrackIR 3, or SmartNAV 3 with a serial # of 16400 or higher, we hope to be releasing drivers that are fully Vista compatible shortly after the release of the OS to the general public.

because since the TrackIR 3.13 software does work with my old trackir wow

Officially, the 3.13 version of the software is only supported under Windows XP / 2000 / Millennium Edition / 98. The software may work under Vista, as there is an option for compatibilty mode (to run older software, but I haven't done any testing with it.

Unfortunately, we will not be updating the 3.13 version of the TrackIR software to be officially supported within Vista. There is a compatibility mode within Vista, which can allow older software and hardware to run in the OS but we can't make any guarantees that it will have full functionality.

And the TrackIR 3/4, and the SmartNAV 3 will have updated software which support Windows Vista.
TrackIR 3/4 - Software version 4.1.xx
SmartNAV 3 - Software version 3.20.xx
These software versions are under current development, and are updated on a regular basis.
As for the older software...
TrackIR - 3.13 or older
SmartNAV - 2.51 or older
These versions of the software may work in Vista, but were designed to work in Windows XP or older. They haven't been worked on, or updated in more than 2 1/2 years. It just is not possible to update the older software.
I'm sorry that you feel you aren't getting good support, it just isn't possible to update the older support. It may work, it may not. Sometimes things just can't be updated.
