Brand new TrackIR broke off it's base

I know this isn't a technical question, but I just got my new TrackIR 4, and while setting it up to sit on my monitor, the base broke right off at the point where the trackIR connects to the base. Now I have a TrackIR with a little plastic nub and a base that can't be used. Any hope for me? I didn't use any unreasonable force on the thing, just tried to move the head so it was configured for my flat screen monitor. totally bummed out about my new toy I can't use. I've tried super-glue which didn't work.
