Hi,
I just got a Trackir4 Pro and it works great... except that after I put the system in standby and then wake it up, the trackir software hangs and I have to kill it and unplug the device for it to work again. It's not plugged into a hub.

The device info says "trackIR Pro 60204" and I'm using 4.1.29 of the software.

Any ideas? It gets kind of old to replug the device all the time...

The issue is the way the system is turning on the USB ports after coming out of stand-by mode.

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Hub"(s) that show and turn off the power saving feature that turn those ports off when idle. Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Turning off power management for the root hubs appears to have worked. However, there are like 8 of them and since I don't know which one it's connected to I had to turn them all off. It seems it would be preferable (from a power saving point of view) to only turn off the one the trackir is connected to...

They are n't using that much more energy, when not in power saving mode. It just appears that your system isn't fully turning on the USB, if it gets powered down in standby mode.
