Max cameras

I assume that each hub can handle 4 cameras, and a pc could potentially have four USB slots, so 16 cameras?
is this a correct assumption?

Depends on the hub, we run some with 7 ports on them...
We have done several testing setups, with 12 cameras running on one system. We cuurently estimate the camera limit around 16 units.
