Have been using FSX with no problems at all. I reinstalled it due to some fps problems! and now TIR4 refuses to work with it. Still works fine with FS9 and other progs.
I have tried reinstalling TR4, tried ver 4.1.029.alpha.03.exe, didn't work, back with 4.1.029.Final.exe. Turned off firewall and virus checker. I even tried turning off TrackIR News! Still the same results. Any thoughts?

- What firewall application are you using?

- Is the blue led activating on the TrackIR unit, when FSX is running?

- OK, one step to try.

1 - Delete the following file folder

C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_x-ww_429211e9

2 - Insert the FSX CD, and run the repair utility. Basically we are looking to reinstall the folder.

3 - Hopefully this should remedy the issue.

Please let me know if this helps.

Your instructions worked. Everything's fine again.

Thanks for your help.

By the way I use windows firewall.

Just a thought, would it be possible to put this fix in a FAQ as I imagine I'm not the first one to face this problem?

It is on the internal FAQ for FSX. I try not to advertise the info too much, as if it isn't done correctly, it can severely affect your system, similar to making registry changes.
