trackir 4

I am new to trackir and finding the manual a little confusing. I am running FS9 and FSX , I get a full six axis of movement in FSX but only three (yaw, pitch, roll) in FS9.

I have installed the latest drivers.

Title details for FS9 show all six axis checked whereas FSX details have X,Y,Z unchecked, confusing!!--am I missing something, advice please.

P.S. I have also noticed that when running Bob2, although the blue led is on, I have no axis of movement

How to turn on the TrackIR in BoB2:wov

Start Battle of Britain II.
Click on "Options"
Click "Adv."
Click "Game"
Place a check mark in the box next to "TrackIR". Also check "TrackIR Vector Expansion" if you have the expansion.

- The axis that effect the amount of play, are set in the actual profile that is loading with each game. If 6DOF is working in FSX, it should be working in FS9 as well. As they load the same flight profile by default.

Thankyou for advice on starting trackir in bob2, it now works fine.

regarding fsx and fs9, I definately only have 3 axis in fs9,albiet very responsive and smooth.

fsx is a bit slower, but all 6 axis are operating

note- when starting fs9 I get a warning of potential incapatable software-(trackir-2002.dll)and have to authorize it to load- is this normal?

Congratulations on producing a super piece of kit.

No, this is not normal, it sounds like the FS 2002.dll for TrackIR got installed, and is interfering in the FS9 application.

Look in the following location, C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Modules

See if there is a dll for TrackIR listed here.

Thankyou for the info---deleted the offending dll and now the tracker works perfectly in fs9, and what a difference it makes!

Brilliant, a new level of realism to enjoy, thanks once again for your support.
