Hi all,
Still have my TIR 1 and it works fine in Forgotten Battles as it always has. I've started to learn some navigation in MSFS 2004 and had the TIR working before, about a half year ago. I don't remember all of my changes since then, so I have to solve the problem as is. Here is at least some relevant info:
WinXP Pro SP1
TIR1, driver v. 3.10
I recently uninstalled the device and reinstalled it, so the sim was definitely installed first. It tracks fine and as I mentioned works well in FB (Pacific Fighters now actually). It simply doesn't respond in MSFS. Perhaps I need to manually install the DLL or whatever file is needed? I would have thought the installation would take care of this, but I can't recall how it went before, and can't find anything special in the doc.
Where/what can I start checking to get it working again? I really don't know how much I'll enjoy flying if I can't use head control. I haven't even gotten it to work with the Cougar for pan control...
Thanks
Getting it working in FS2004
Re: Getting it working in FS2004
Oh crud.
As one of the Cougar Control Panel crashed (a rarity and due to my experimentation), I was logged in as admin. Out of curiosity I tried out the TIR and guess what? It worked fine.
Rebooted, logged in as power user and the TIR didn't work. I had this same problem in Win2k Pro, and never resolved it, resulting in me flying FB all the time as administrator, even when flying online. This is a fairly unacceptable solution.
What are the possibilities to correct this? Could it be a USB conflict? It's plugged directly into one of the 6 USB connections (ports?) on the mobo, I have no hub. I have used the device on this USB slot since I have the mobo.
Thanks again...
