TrackIR4 first impressions and questions

I just got my TrackIR4 and Trackclip Pro about an hour ago.
My first impression was HOLY CRAP THAT'S TINY!
When I saw it I thought it was some kinda model or something! LOL
It's about the size of a pack of cigarettes cut in half.
I'm so worried I'm gonna break it, it looks fragile.
The the TrackClip Pro sturdier, though. I can't lower the bar enough so it's out of my periferal vision. It's slightly distracting when I move my head around. I think it would be a good idea to move the velcro attached to the cord closer up to the trackclip so you could bind the headset wire and trackclip wire together with it.
Ok, now my question. I've got the lated software installed and everything is pluged in. The TrackIR is placed on the left side of a shelf that's about 6 inches over my monitor. This is my prefered placement for it, so it won't get knocked off bumped. The problem is though, that I can't figure out how to tell the trackIR where it is. Left/Right head motion is translating into roll motion. Do I have to reposition the TrackIR or is there a way to adjust this?

PS: enabled TrackClipPro on the default profile.
problem still seems to persist, although, it seemed lessened when I used the hatclip with vector selected.

OK, so in the tracking window, are the LED lights lined up vertical on the screen?
Have you adjusted very profile to reflect the TrackClip Pro being used?
Have you tried a clean install of the software?
Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location,
http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/ ... .Final.exe

Yea the lights on the trackclip pro are aligned vertically on the left side of my head.
I've had some time to mess with it now, here's what I found:
I've changed all my profiles to use the TrackClip and turned off the LEDs to prevent them reflecting. I did the clean install twice before starting this topic because the included CD had version 4.1.029 and I knew there was a newer version on the website.
I've moved the TrackIR to a part of the shelf directly above the top left corner of my monitor. This helped some of the issues I had turning left to right. I do still have a problem where if I move my head along the X axis, near the extremes it will turn the head in that direction (yaw). I would move it ontop of my monitor, but I'm not good with making subtle head movements and at this distance I have more room to move around.
Part of the issue might have to do with the Armed Assault demo. Occasionally, when I would move/run the camera would get very jittery and hard to control. I know there are several bugs in the demo, so maybe this is a problem with the game rather than the TrackIR. I didn't have this problem in either FS2004 or WWIIOL in which I tested it. I don't see the problem in the TrackIR preview window, so I think something else in the game is fighting for view control.
The TrackIR software crashed a few times when trying to edit my default profile while it was in use during a game of armed assault. I had to restart arma in order to get TrackIR use in the game again. I didn't try editing profiles during my other games, just arma.

Generally, I don't recommend editing a profile that is currently being used by an application, as it can cause the software to behave erratically.

I'm still having the problem with the studdering in the Armed Assault demo. It seems to be able to happen at almost any time in game, but most often when my character is moving.

It is more than likely an issue with the Demo application.
