I had to make a trip down to the same town Trackir is based and I was able to stop in the shop. 1st off I give big kudos for customer service I had an issue with my Track IR 4 and they took care of me. I knew I was going to try and stop in so I took my Head set with me due to I wanted to check if the new Pro Clip fit my head set. I have a Tuttle Beach 5.1 headset and didn't know if the new unit would work. Well it fit fine and I dont see how any over the top set couldn't fit this unit.

Well I got home and hooked it up. Nice set up with the extra USB link so you can hook your Track IR and Clip Pro into the same USB. Very nice.

How did it work in game? Well I noticed a greater FPS in game. I run an 8800 GTX set up on a 24" wide screen and I get 60 FPS ( the max fps vertical sync on to stop tarring) 90% of the time in 1920x1200 in perfect mode with 16x ansio 16x ansialia. But as you all know that when you look around in game you will see some times a drop of about 15 fps. At lest I use to. Not any more. 60 FPS with NO drop as I looked around. WOW.

2nd I was able too look around as though I was using my mouse. This made it so stable allowing you to track with no shudder or skip in my view. It is now so clean in the trackings that I was blown away buy what I had been missing. I could track to any point I looked. It was true free look or " Real " feeling. I noticed that defection shooting was much easier. Flying the 190-D9 in War clouds server I exploded 3 fighters in deflection shots of my 5 fighter-killing spree that flight. I would have only called them luck shots before. Now that I can look ahead of the fighter with no wobble or lag and laser like aim I could lead out my aim and shots. I was using the old Track IR clip before and as you know it much cleaner that just dot tracking but this was 10x better and 100x better than just the dot. And if you have flown any of the 190s you know how hard it is to see out of the small view you have. When I jumped into a P51 I was shocked on this extra stable view with the Pro Clip. I had only gotten this kind of stable view before using a laser mouse.

I didn't think that I would see any great improvement but I have to say this is a Must have. After 5 years of using Track IR products I have to say this item get 9 out of 10.

Plus you can put that smelly hat back on the rack.

Let me know if you have one too and any tweaks or tricks you have picked up using it.

PS: you can just tape you head set cable and Track IR Pro Clip Cable together to keep it nice and clean if you a nut about your gaming setup and cables like I am.

S! Iceman,

I just purchased the TIR-4/Pro Clip combo! I've been a TIR user almost since day 1! (Introduced to it by Brodie, God rest his soul!) Once I got used to TIR-1, I couldn't live w/o it!

I'm glad to hear the good words about the Pro Clip. Knowing the quality/service of the guys here at NaturalPoint, I expected nothing less.

I want to thank NaturalPoint and Case Bowman for sponsoring the United Squadrons League in IL-2. That's where I learned about the Clip! Can't wait to put it to use with my new puter!!!
