Hi all, I have been offered an original TrackIR and am keen to buy it, but first I have a couple of questions:

1. What is a reasonable price to pay for a good condition fully working unit with spare dots etc?
2. Apart from the refresh frequency, are there any disadvantages to having an older model over a standard newer model?
3. Is it a bit daft to consider TrackIR 1 now that 3 is available?

Let me see if I can answer your questions.

1) I have seen them for many different prices, so this is a difficult question.

2) The biggest disadvantage is that the older systems can not use the new Vector Expansion. The 4.0 drivers are only supported by TrackIR 3 and 3 pro.

3) You would need to determine what budget you have.
