What kind of system are you using?

Are you plugging directly into the system, or are you using a USB hub?

Do you have the latest system bios, and chipset drivers installed?

i'm using windows xp
the tracker was inserted in a usb hub on my logitech g15 keyboard and it recognise the tracker as trackIR 4
5 minutes ago i tryed it directly on the system, but then windows doesn't recognise the tracker at all and won't install the software.
if i install the software from cd, it won't detect any tracker.

i never did update my bios driver, all other devices working 100%

OK, #1, it won't work properly on a USB port, on your keyboard.

Try moving it to a different USB port directly on the system.

Have you tried the device on another system?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Hub"(s) that show and turn off the power saving feature that turn those ports off when idle. Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.
