TrackIR drivers cause STOP ERROR on Windows XP Pro

Got my TrackIR today, and installed the SW as shown at the instructions. I have installed the driver as requested. After I have pluged in the TrackIR device Windows asked me again to install the driver. So I did. Whilst loading the driver Windows crashes to a blue screen (STOP ERROR).
What can I do to solve the problem??
Kind Regards,
Papa Roach

Hmmm, not good.....
Remove the TrackIR from the USB port.
1 - Try moving to another USB port on the system
2 - Make sure that the chipset drivers are the most current available.
3 - Also check the motherboard bios for updates.

Thanks for reply,
After I posted last night, I could not stop to fiddle arrund, whilst awaiting the response here.
I did change the USB port for my TrackIR unit, and this did solve the problem imediate.
Reading your Reply this morning, I can confirm that your No1 solution was the one that solved the problem. Still don't understand why, but any how, I'm happy now
Thanks again,
kind regards

It forces the OS to redetect, and then reinstall the drivers for the unit.
