The TrackClip Pro can be less effected by background interference, but if there is an IR source behind you, this may still cause issues with the TrackIR unit in general.

Hi

I have trackclip pro, and 5 meters behind me is a normal lamp with a tungsten bulb wich is creating a large red return in the tracking monitor, is it because its generating IR-light?

Yes, IR light is heat, and a tungsten bulb generates a lot of heat.

I thought I would post in this topic rather than start a new one as it too relates to the subject of TrackClip's ability to tune out some background noise.

I have a skylight behind me that would be very diffacult to move.

The TrackIR 4PRO that I have is no good at all during the day. Would the TrackClip tune out some of this background noise and make gaming with the TrackIR during daylight hours possible?

I have the profile's "Tracking Settings" "Light filtering" turned on and maxed at "253" and the "Prefered Object Size" at "5 Pixels".

Following is a TrackIR snapshop showing the skylight. It is not direct sunlight but sunlight reflected off of the inside of the skylight wall.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The TrackClip will probably not help out, if the light isn't being filtered out completely, and it is the "heat" that getting through that effects the unit.

Vincent,
Thanks for the tip... Now I gotta buy curtains. Maybe they should come with the future "TrackIR 5 PRO Home-Office Edition"
