Ability to remap channels?

Hi,
I am a new user to track IR. Like many more users these days I use my PC through a projector. I enjoy it more sitting in my comfy lounge chair with a 100 inch high res game in front of me. (I rarely use the PC in the office now)
I have seen many questions / posts relating to the topic of how to use the trackIR when you are sitting 15 feet away from the screen, but have not been able to find any posts with a solution. This is something that is happening more and more often.. I have 5 game playing mates that all have similar environments.
One possible solution that would add alot more versatility would be that the TRACK IR software allow us to remap the channels. That way we can place the unit anywhere we want.. (ie on the back of a chair, on the bookshelf to my right or even on the ceiling) and simply remap the various vectors to compensate.
Has anyone else got any thoughts on this..or is there a post that I missed somewhere
Regards
Billy D
