Trackir not aligned properly

Hello,
I got my TrackIR 4 yesterday and have been having a strange problem. It never starts aligned and I often have to hit the centering key just to get it aligned. Also when I look down in the virtual cockpit and zoom in on the throttle, the camera gets stuck and moves around in weird motions. The only way to get it back to normal is to hit the centering key.
Is this normal TrackIR behavior?

This shot was taken looking straight ahead. The TrackIR is mounted directly on my LCD monitor.

The look down issue is something that is being looked into; as for the recentering issue, when you first sit that down, that is normal, and to be expected.
One thing to check, is within the TrackIR software. Open the Tracking screen, and make sure the 3 green reflectors are in the middle of the screen.

One thing to check, is within the TrackIR software. Open the Tracking screen, and make sure the 3 green reflectors are in the middle of the screen.
Can I just add to what Vincent has said. Make sure that the camera can 'see' all three reflectors, in order when you have moved your head to the extreem angles (eg. full left and right).

It's a shame the look down problem hasn't been resolved yet. I haven't been able to use my TrackIR in months because of this.

That's a start, although that should have been the case 5 months ago when the issue was first reported. If the developers need a tip on how to debug something like this, they simply need to examine the code that changed between the last version that worked (4.1.028) and the version where it no longer worked (4.1.029 alpha). The issue is surely connected to one of these features introduced in the 4.1.029 alpha drivers:
Added: True View (more natural movement)
Added: Rotation movement enhancements
I'm sorry if I'm coming off a bit terse, but the people experiencing this issue have been beyond patient and my confidence in NaturalPoint as a company has been greatly shaken.

I'm sorry that you feel that is isn't being taken seriously.
1 - It has been on the bug list, since it was reported in the release of build 29.
2 - The revisions of the code, are being worked on, but haven't been released yet.
3 - We are a small company, and this are just going to take more time, than a larger company, with an unlimited development budget.
