We currently have no information on or about a TrackIR 5 system.
The development team is currently working on development of the new OptiTrack hardware and software. Which will eventually affect our other product lines but that is not on the current product timeline, which I have seen.

Please give us a hint, Vincent, what OptiTrack exactly means and how it works.
What is more: will Storm of War "The Battle of Britain" support OptiTrack?
Looking very much forward to your answer

OptiTrack -
http://www.naturalpoint.com/optitrack/
From the camera to the software interface, OptiTrack is everything you need to develop your own tracking applications! OptiTrack offers unique flexibility with its simple USB camera interface and powerful software API, a sample tracking application is included to have your system running right out of the box. Whether you require a single camera system, or want to have a room full, OptiTrack is the motion capture solution you need.

SoW Battle of Britain will certainly be one of the most poular flight sims in the sim community for the period 2007/2008.
To be honest, Vincent, I can't believe that Naturalpoint has no information whatsoever whether BOB will "only" support TrackIR 4Pro or whether it is designed to support future had tracking systems.
Who if not you should know about this? There are only a few months left until the release od SoW BOB...
Greetings
Reinhard

Just to make it clear, the OptiTrack line of products is designed for motion capture. It isn't designed to be sitting on your desktop, and to be used within FSX, Storm of War, etc....
That is why we have the TrackIR line of products, to be used within gaming applications.
