Are you refering to doing a clean install of the software?
Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location,
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06- ... nuals.html

Hi,
same question here before installing software to TrackIR4Pro.
Unfortunately the manual doesn't give a hint how to carry on, if there already exists a previous software f. ex. of TrackIR 2. Former softwares automatically uninstalled detected previous TrackIR software. Perhaps it it would be useful to add this topic to the manual

I got the message under windows xp during the deinstallation procedure you described above, exactly after step d: Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
You ask: "Did you give yourself permission to remove the key?"
Well, how should I do that? (I have the admin rights on my PC)
P. S: I've not yet tried to remove the key manually in the registry , shoul I try to do so?
