OK, vista 64-bit.....
When you did the clean install of FSX, did the simconnect folders get erased?

Hi
I have just tried to uninstall both FSX and SimConnect - but the following two folders did not get deleted:
x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_none_dd92b94d8a196297
and
x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.61242.0_none_e079b46b85043c20
And I can't delete them manual

Have you tried changing attributes to the root WinSXS folder?
i.e. - take off read only attributes?

Yes, I did - though it wasn't easy
I then have FSX uninstalled, TrackIr uninstalled - and SDK uninstalled and the mentioned folders deleted.
Now, I reinstalled FSX (does take some time), installed TrackIR - did not work.
I then installed the SDK, still no go
Updated FSX, via SP1, still no go.
Tried to update SDK via SP1 for SDK SP1a, still no go.
Tried to install simconnect via SimConnect - is this necessary ?
It starts, and seems to install, but it did not say - 'I have installed' - still no go...
And the x86_microsoft........ is not created...
I use Vista x64 - and it (TrackIr / FSX) has worked before.
Please help

As I write - the two folders are not created when I run SimConnect.msi

- so I can't send them to you.
It seems to me that you have to do a lot of MS related support here
