Point Cloud API

Ive read through the Point Cloud Documentation and the Optitrack Documentation and from what ive come to understand is that the Point Cloud API is built on top of the Optitrack SDK. So all i need to use in developing my software is the NPPointCloud interface? i dont need to directly call any of the NPOptitrack interface methods? and what exactly does the calibration file that point cloud makes contain? does it hold all of the LED lighting information and camera serials?
