Problem with TrackIR and using my keyboard

I hope this is a good title for the post. This problem is going to be difficult to explain so please bear with me.

Sometimes when using TrackIR and FS9, the following problem will occur.

I run FS9 in windowed mode as I have two monitors. I'll be running FS9 and using FSInn to connect to VATSIM. I'll click on chat box on FSInn to talk to a controller and the cursor will not be able to type anything. The only way to resolve the issue is to exit out of TrackIR and then it works fine. I also notice when having this trouble that I cannot do other things with the keyboard such as changing the fuel load in FS9. I'll click on the text box to change the fuel and the cursor will flash for an instant then disappear.

I hope I've been descriptive enough. Please let me know if you need any more info and what I can do to resolve the issue. I've had to stop using TrackIR when flying online and it just isn't the same.

Thanks.

Dan

What type of keyboard are you using?

Does it use it's own software application?

It's just a standard PS/2 keyboard. Nothing special.

I've also noticed something else.

I'll have FS9 in winodowed mode so there is a blue title bar on the top of the window (as with all windows apps). When everthing is working properly, I'll click on the FSInn chat box (which I put on my second monitor) and the FS9 window title bar will become a light blue color as it should.

When running two applications in Windows, the "active" application will have dark blue color and the background app will be a light blue color, right?

Ok, when I have the problem, I'll click on the FSInn (or any other application) and the FS9 window will turn light blue only for an instant, but then dark blue.

So it seems to me that when I select another application to use, TrackIR forces the FS9 window active again. And forcing FS9 active will not allow me to use FSInn. How this relates to me not being able to change fuel loads I'm not sure.

It doesn't happen all the time and I've yet to find a way to force it to happen.

This is only occuring, when the TrackIR software is running?

Does FSInn have hotkey setting, that can be adjusted? They could be conflicting with a hotkey setting within the TrackIR software as well.

ARGH!!!

Now I'm really confused. It just happened again and TrackIR wasn't even running. It must be a FSInn issue.

Sorry to bother you and thanks for the help
