speech recognition can't initialize

I have version 3.20.028 w/ voice clicking. I'm trying to install on my new work computer, but I get an error saying that voice recognition can't be initialized and that I need to make sure Microsoft speech recognition is installed. We've upgraded to Office 2007. Unlike Office XP, Office 2007 doesn't have a speech engine. (And we won't be on Vista for at least another year). How can I get voice clicking to work? (I can't downgrade back to Office XP).

1 - You have purchased the Natural Point voice software?

2 - Have you installed the ViaVoice software on the new system?

3 - What type of firewall/antivirus application do you have installed?

1 - Yes. It is on my 3.20.028 disk.

2 - I'm not sure what you mean by that. Does the voice clicking install = a Via Voice install? I'm told that voice clicking was installed, though I wasn't actually at my desk when the IT guy with admin access came by to do it. Is there a way to check without needing admin access to the computer?

3 - Symantic Antivirus - which has run before with no problem. No firewall on my workstation (and the network firewall wouldn't be interfering).

There should be a folder, on the system, that looks like this?

C:\Program Files\ViaVoice

This is the name of the software, that is installed off the cd.

I'm worndering if they accidently installed another voice software.
