TrackIR Pro and FSX - eyepoint can't be adjusted

Hi All,
I'm using a TrackIR Pro with FSX, and although the TrackIR works perfectly, I'm not able to adjust the eyepoint in the Virtual Cockpit with Shift+return/backspace or Ctrl-Shift-Q/Ctrl-Q
The view twitches but does'nt move as if the TrackIR is preventing it. I don't have the Vector Expansion.
If I don't use the TrackIR, the eyepoint can be adjusted normally.
Anyone know the solution? At present it's impossible to see the runway through the instrument panel
Cheers,
S.

Ok, so I've found other posts which show that I'm stuck with this. That's bad, the trackIR becomes a million times less useful as the eyepoint up is required for several aircraft to get to a realistic viewpoint.
I did find a post on the 21st Jan which mentioned that it may be possible to set the fDeltaY to something other than 0, was this attempted and found not to work, or is it on the future development list?
Cheers,
S.

If you look at the FSX forums, on other sites, they have some info on adjusting the seat height in individual aircraft.

Yep - I'm writing a small utility so i can adjust the aircraft.cfgs en masse. That'll do as an interim solution - it's a pest not being able to adjust the viewpoint at different stages of the flight.
I'll have a look at using SimConnect to do it also, but afaik I'll have the same issues as it'll reset it to the inital eyepoint values.
Hey ho - half way there! At least it's usable again

What is the status of the eye point movement issue?
It is clear to me that MS screwed up royally when implementing TIR support in FSX. This is peculiar, as they had it sorted rather well in FS9.
They went from
default eye point position + entered eye point offset (seat adjustment) + TIR offset
to
default eye point position + entered eye point offset (seat adjustment OR TIR offset
Thus, by enabling non-TIR users to adjust their virtual seats they acknowledge the need to be able to adjust the virtual seat. However, through a rather shoddy implementation, they deny this ability to TIR users.
Have MS been made aware of this? What has been their reply? Nothing good, I presume, seeing how things are still unchanged two service packs later. And we are probably talking about an hour of work to change it, considering how the infrastructure is in place, not considering QA and assuming that the code isn't an unstructured disaster. A bit more if making it an option which is probably the right route to go this far down the road with people used to the new bad way of things.
Have any workarounds been found? Adjusting eye point position in the aircraft.cfg will do away with the most horrible default position, but the fact remains that you will want to adjust your eye point position during flight as well.
Regards,
/Fred

Currently the only way to adjust the view point, is either the .cfg file, or preadjust your sittingm position, before centering the view.

Nothing can be done, regarding it.
There is no longer development on FSX.
