Setting the Default View in a Game

I was wondering if it possible to set the default Z Axis (Zoom) in games through the trackir software? Would it have to be a function of the game instead?

I find that in sims like Lockon I am sitting to close to the Hud after centering using the Trackir hotkey for center.

Thanks!

Currently there is no way to preset the z-axis point.

One work around, would be to lean foward right before you recenter, that way when you resume your normal position your view will be "zoomed" out.

Thanks Vincent. I have actually been doing just that. Perhaps something you can suggest for a future update?

Hi Vincent, I see someone else posted a similar question in another thread. It would be a nice feature to add. Note that if you use the trick of moving your head in, re-centering using the Trackir center key, then moving your head back again to zoom out the display, you are no longer centered to your axis setting in the Trackir software. So if you set up a deadzone in the center of the curve editor for the Z-axis now you will not be centered in the deadzone any longer and have high sensitivity.
Here's what I setup to try and compensate...

All the more reason to include it as a feature! Thanks

Vincent, here's a picture of an idea for the U.I. you guys might want to use. Of course it's the code that will be harder, but you guys are pretty smart :)

You could move the default center with a slider shown as the green indicator. The 2 extra dots that are currently at the center for the deadzone setting could move along with the green indicator as you slide it left or right from center.
