Disapointment

Just got the game,
because i wanted to fly again.

A friend/clanmember also just got the game,
so it would have been nice to fly together.

The sim looks really good,
and got alot of potential.

Thankfully i got all the stuff for flightsim,
Pedals, x-45 and a trackir 2.

Thats a major disapointment.
FSX supports TrackIr, but only the 2 latest models.

So i got 2 choices now;
1) Try to play the flightsim without TrackIr, wich not enjoyable if you've taste the sweetness of trackir, and the game will end on a shelf after a time or,
2) Buy the new TrackIr 4, for 165,- euro's.

I know, i will not choose for the second choice.
Already the game cost me, about 50 euro, and then add the price for 1 trackir4.

215,- euro, just for flying on the pc.
That's to expensive for me,srry.

And then i don't understand, why TrackIr2 is not supported in FSX.
Even Arma had no problem TrackIr 1.

Is it to much work, to get the drivers for Trackir1 and 2, to work with FSX?

The TrackIR-1 / TrackIR-2 cameras may be used with the software that is provided for them in the download section of the NaturalPoint website, this software is designed specifically for those products.

http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/ ... R_3_13.exe

FS X required special development work to support the TrackIR, since the TrackIR 3.13 software is no longer under active development this means that FS X support will not be available in the TrackIR 3.13 software.

You can the TrackIR to partially work within FSX, if you use the mouse emulation function, and the mouse-look mode within FSX.

For the price, it really woth it.
The cost of the game is nothing.
Look for FS2004, if you want a good plane, it's 50$ minimum.
Some scenery ? add the same minimum.
You want AES to work with some airports ? Need at last 20 credits minimum 30.
TrackIR really worth this price.

I've been trawling the tinternet for ages trying to find out why my Tracker2 wont work with the FSX. Let alone the time wasted installing, re-installing etc.

Are we really expected to buy the latest Tracker to be able to use it with FSX?

I only bought FS4 and two years ago - if that!

Come on Natural Point clever chaps, please sort this silliness out you meanies.

You can still use the older software, in mouse emulation mode, and mouse look (within FSX) to get some support for the older hardware (1 & 2) within FSX.
