Can OptiTrack capture two people at once?
I have a customer that wants me to motion capture two rugby players tackling.
I am new to motion capture and have some conserns about the markers falling of in the tackle and or becoming occluded. Any advice?
Thanks
Matt.

Currently the software will only be able to capture once "person" at a time, but we will be adding the multi-actor feature in a lter release of the software.
The markers themselves, are fairly robust, and take a large effort to take off of the suit.

Thanks for the info.
I plan to order a 8 camera system within the next two weeks.

Do you have a suggestion on how to do this one person at a time?
e.g. - Is there a way to create two videos of the first performance (from two camera angles) and watch it live overlayed with the second performance from those camera angles. This way we will be able to evluate timing (which can be done by other means as sound etc) and line of sight (most important).
I hope this makes sense.

Currently, I don't think there is a way to replay one data set, at the same time that you are recording over it with another data set.
We are currently working on getting 2 actor support, within the software as quickly as possible.....

Good idea though, you can composite different actors in MotionBuilder, so that is one option, but getting the interaction / timing down is the hard part.
Look for two actor support from us not long after our initial release.
