Hot Keys won't change

Hope you can help
I want to change my Hot Key F 9. It shows up in the software as changed, but when I go to FSX my new Key Assignment won't work. Just the old one (F 9) works.
Any solution will be greatly appreciated.

In which profile did you change it in the default profile, or flight (assigned to FSX by default)?

Changed it in the default software Naturalpoint. It shows it has changed (Naturalpoint) but when I start up FSX and hit the new key nothing happens. If I hit F9 Key it works even though I have changed it.

OK, there are several profiles (combat flight, default, flight, racing) on the profiles tab, lower section.
Make sure that you changed int in the flight profile, as well as the default profile.

OK, many thanks for the suggestions. I'll go back and make sure the Flight Profile is loaded.
