Hi,

What should the range on the Track Clip Pro be? I'd rather expected it would be better than the reflectors, but if it's over about two feet from the TrackIR4 it loses signal (as reported by the TrackIR applet). The reflectors work out to beyond 4 feet just fine. I'm using Vista 32, it's tied into the cable that's feeding the TrackIR using the supplied tap and plugged into a motherboard port. The USB hubs are getting power and TrackIR itself is working just fine. Any thoughts?

Should also be about 2 to 4 feet.

Take a look at the TrackIR software -> View -> Tracking -> Settings. What is the light filtering set to?

Try moving the slider to about 100.

That does seem to have helped with the range. It's out to where the reflectors go, anyway. I had some initial problems with it not wanting to yaw when I made the change to the TrackClip, the view screen seemed showed the green dots just fine, but the left head view was blank and FSX wouldn't pan, just up and down. I restarted everything a couple of times, eventually yaw started to work again.

Anyway, it may just take a little more getting used to, I'll have to fool with it some more when I get the chance. The reflectors are working very well, I'm just going to stick with those for now.
