Hi,

after one year using my trackir 4 6DOF, it started to be quite unstable.

Explanation:

In-game,it looks like i never had a trackir machine. No motion at all, but green light's over there.
In software of Trackir, it is like a regular properly working machine. Motions are cool. Response of every button i set up before.
When i played a game 2 howers ago, it was all OK. Strange !

So this is number 1 problem.

Number 2 is setting of motions - editting yaws, pitches etc.
Sometimes, i cant get a smooth or fluent motion. Strange is, when it was working properly before, i have not change anything and it was changed by itselfs.

I use WinXP with updated trackir software

So what's the advice gentlemen ?

thanks

Well.....

1 - What gaming applications are you using, refering to?

2 - When it is erratic, if you look at the tracking screen, do you just have the 3 green? Any red?

game is il-2 sturmovik 1946
It's erratic in-game. It act like there is no trackir.

I always get 2 silver and 1 green

Before some time it scratched so i bought new (same) reflective tape. Also strange, but these all problems started before short time.

What's with the 2nd problem sir?

In the profile that you are using for IL2 (default is combat flight) do you have TrackClip Pro, Vector, or dot selected?

select vector, if you are using the metal clip, with the 3 reflectors.

Dot is only for a single reflector tracking.

if i choose "vector" , it's not working. I mean, motion is really bad.

Fact is, I reinstalled the software and from that time it started be OK in all the ways.
