Delay in head-to-screen movement.

Hi all

I've just bought one if these Track IR4 units with the Pro clip.
The problem is that in FSX the tracking of head movement is a bit jerky and sometimes will take a few seconds to catch up.
I am using the latest drivers downloaded from this web site. I have not tried it with any other software as I only intent to use it with FSX (with Acceleration).

The settings within the TrackIR program seem to be fine, I have clicked on the setting to use the ProClip and I can see the 3 LED's tracking smoothly within the diagnostic window.

My PC is as follows:

Vista 64bit
Asus P5KC motherboard
Core2Duo Q6600 @ 3ghz
4GB Corsair memory
Software: FSX SP1 + Acceleration. DC-10 Collection

Also tried reinstalling TrackIR software.

Correct. Only 3 green dots. Never seen any red ones. What's wrong?

Looking within the TrackIR software, do you get good movement on the "heads" screen?

What profile are you using with FSX?

When looking at that profile, what is the smoothing set to?

What are the axes set to?

Yes I get good smooth movement with the heads screen.

I am using the "Flight" profile with FSX

Smoothing is set to 30

All of the axes boxes are ticked and acceleration is set to Custom for them all.

Are you using any add-on applications with FSX?

Any firewall/antivirus software installed?

I have an FSX addon called DC-10 Collection and the new Acceleration addon.

Spyware Doctor 4
NOD32 Antivirus
No firewall apart from the standard Vista one.

Should the LED's be red and not green then?

On the Tracking screen , there should only be 3 green dots...

In your spyware/antivirus software, make sure that FSX, and TrackIR have access to the network.

Any other software running in the background?

I have disabled everything I can in the background including anti-virus and spyware doc.
Just not getting good performance with this, are you sure that there are no known problems with Vista 64bit?
