SmartNav not recog. after PC coming out of Hibernation

After putting the laptop to sleep or hibernation, the SmartNAv is not recognized and the software must be closed and the SmartNAv unit unplugged and then plugged back in and the software restarted for it to work.

I am now using Vista, but it was the same on my XP laptop.

Any chance of a fix?

Have you tried going into the Device Manager, selecying thew USB root hub(s), and disabling the pwer saving features?

I am using Vista Premium...there does not seem to be any power settings in the device manager when you right click on the USB hub.

However in the power settings in the control panel there was an option under the advanced settings to disable the 'USB selective suspend setting'

I will give that a go.

Are you looking at the USB hub, or USB root hub?
