Cannot edit profile with version 4.1.030

I just installed the new version of TrackIR 4 Pro. I cannot use the Edit function under profile. After a number of re-installation following the instructions including uninstalling the previous version, I have not managed to fix the problem.

Two questions:
1 - What do I need to fix 4.1.030
2 - Where can I find version 4.1.029?

Thanks in advance for your prompt reply.

Cheers.

To add to the description of the profile ...
Using the "Profiles" tab "freezes" the TrackIR application. The task needs to be stopped by using the Task Manager.
Interestingly enough, the tracking is active and performs flawlessly while the TrackIR window application is frozen.

I have used version 4.1.029 for a long time and I was totally satisfied with the product. This is quite a surprise and a disappointment.

Thanks for your help.

More on the issue ...
I disconnected the TIR4 device. I uninstalled the TIR4 application completely, including deleting the directory so no files are left behind. I re-installed version 4.1.030. I ran the application. ALL tabs except the Profiles tab seem to operate normally. Clicking anywhere in the Tabs profile window freezes the application. I terminated the application using the Task Manager.

I run XP Media Center SP2.

Any other applications running in the background?

Firewall/antivirus software installed?

Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?

Thanks, Vincent for your suggestion and following up by e-mail.

As mentionned earlier the problem turned out to be a conflict with another USB device driver using the port even if the device was not physically attached to the system. The solution was to uninstall the conflicting driver. Version 4.1.030 works perfectly well now.

Cheers.

dunno if this has come up before...

Windows Vista* Home Premium 32bit (SP1-RC public evaluation build 6001), running in 'Super Admin' mode...
TrackIR4 w/ Track clip on it's own (unshared) IRQ, running through it's own dedictaed self powered hub (with "Allow this device to be off yada, yada" unticked).
The app., has been installed into C:\Naturalpoint\TrackIR4

When I change or try to change the hotkey setting for two profiles, one after the other, I get a Windows Application Crash Notification... this is a consistant crash

By self powered, you mean it has it's own power supply?

Any other applications running in the background?

In the following folder location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\Profiles, what is the file size for each profile?

Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location,
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/06- ... nuals.html
