Hi, nice forums, hoping someone can help me out.
Just installed TrackIRPro, for use with F4AF.
Seems to work fine, just getting used to it.

However, the sim keeps "freezing" while playing with TrackIR on.
Never had a problem before installing.
When I uninstalled, the problem went away.
when TrackIR is not running, no problem.
I have latest drivers for TrackIR.

The sim just stops responding, audio sometimes is looping, requires an ALT-TAB to get out.

Specs are below.
Any advice is appreciated, I tried the search without findign anything.

Thanks,
Swims

Other apps running in the background?

Does it happen after a given time period?

Any add-on apps, installed on F4: AF?

I run a pretty clean system.
When I fly I disconnect from the 'net, turn off firewall,anti-spam,etc.

There doesn't seem to be a given time frame; once it was right after takeoff, once after completing a mission and heading home.

I have HiTiles and Gunny's Sound Mod.

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

I have it plugged into an externally powered hub, with 500ma per port, Windows is showing that Track requires 260ma.
Other thoughts?

I would still disable the power savings options..

I'm really getting frustrated here.
Initially it would freeze up, ok, I can try to resolve that through process of elimination.
But when I try to go in game now, the tracking is backwards, and very erratic. I can't even use it long enough for it to freeze.

The "troubleshooting" section tells me to read section 5.5.5.1.
This tells me to reposition the "camera" angles (ie 90-180 degrees).
I never moved them in the first place, it's still at "zero".
I tried it at 90-180-270, no change.
I tried turning the camera around/backwards/upside down, no change.
I uninstalled/reinstalled the software, no change.

Is there a setting I'm missing here?

When I turn my head right, it scans left.
When I go left, it flips out, doesn't follow me at all.
I've moved the camera all over the place, same problems.

Right now I have $180.00 piece of useless plastic.
And am feeling rather disappointed.

Please, anyone, help me!!!
