Apologies.. I posted this in general driving but couldn't delete/move it to the support area...
anyway, I have this very wierd problem, and I've traced it back to a combination of these three things (it might not be confined to rFactor but I did not try with GTR or anything else...
Anyway, when TIR is active, the force feedback in rFactor gets "reversed."
For example, if I turn left, instead of centering back toward the right, the Logi whel wants to keep pulling left and settles in at about 45 degrees or so. Same if I turn right. Obviously the centering should be working opposite of that (i.e. the wheel should be pulled back toward center).
If I exit the game, shut down TIR, go to teh control properties and reinitialize the wheel, then reenter the game without activating TIR all is well. Until I activate the TIR again.
Has anyone else experienced this very strange behavior?
Bizarre rFActor/Logitech G25 forcefeedback/TIR4 problem
Re: Bizarre rFActor/Logitech G25 forcefeedback/TIR4 problem
I have used the TIR/G25/rFactor combo for over a year and have never had any such problem as this. Sorry I can't be of anymore help.
That is just plain odd.

Are they sharing USB root hubs?
Have you tried moving the USB plugs areound?
Has this started recently?
Which version of Windows?
Which version of the TrackIR software?

In order
possibly
not yet
since TIR was installed 2 days ago.
XP SP2
Latest drivers downloded from the site two days ago.
Problem was solved or symptoms were cured at least) by giving the G25 negative feedback settings, which other people have reported needing to do regardless of TIR (or at least TIR use was not specified).
