1) Does Arena support custom skeletons?

2) What kind of lighting requirements do the OptiTrack cameras have?

3) How many markers can be tracked?

4) After a capture, how long does the software typically take to process the capture data?

5) What is typical setup and calibration time?

1) Does Arena support custom skeletons?
ARENA does not support importing skeletons, but it is on the list for future versions. For animation in Max, you could apply BVH data to the model, or you could go through MotionBuilder and rig the C3D data from ARENA to your skeleton.
2) What kind of lighting requirements do the OptiTrack cameras have?
Could you be a little more specific as to your reference. The [/quote]Optitrack doesn't require any special lighting for it to work properly.
3) How many markers can be tracked?
With the current version of the software, a working number would be between 40-45 markers.
4) After a capture, how long does the software typically take to process the capture data?
Tragectorizing previously recorded 2D data takes about 10 seconds per minute of footage on a machine of average speed. There is also realtime preview with streaming to motion builder.
5) What is typical setup and calibration time?
Depending on number of cameras, mounting methods, and working area, I would say the average user can have it up and running in 2-4 hours.

Hi Vincent,

Thanks for the info! I thought that was the case--that the cameras didn't have any specific lighting requirements--but I just wanted to be sure.
