I am running Windoes XP sp2. Microsoft FSX sp1. My system has two graphic cards running five displays . In order to get Trackir to run, I have to disable the second card. Any Ideas out ther on how to keep the second card on line and still have Trackir? Thanks

What are you using to combine the image across the 2 cards, within FSX?

Good question-I should have explained what I am doing with the system. I have three monitors set up on the main card for my main display. The three screens are run through a triple head to go system. Being kind of lazy, I thought it would be great to have touch screens below the primary where I could undock views and set up a system where my instruments and radios are below. The touch screens work great and I can operate the buttons without using the mouse. It took a while to get it all running together, but it works great.
I read about the Trackir product on some forum and have added that. This is a great product. I guess I am still trying to keep those touch screens (this is the lazy part) so I dont have to grab the mouse to run the buttons and switches.
Any suggestions-including dont be so lazy- are appreciated.
Thanks Jim

More Info-the touch screens are connected to the second card. And in order to use us the Trackir and avoid the blue screen, I have to disable the second card. If I disable the Trackir, I can use the second card.

Are you just using the software within FSX to run the second set of monitors, or does it have its own software running, to detect and translate the inputs into FSX?

The two touch screens are attached to the second graphics card. The displays were automatically detected by in Windows as they were attached. Initially I had to configure them via settings window under the display control in control panel. The resolution on the touch screens is lower than the main (this is one of the reasons I had to go with a second card) so when FSX is started, you also have to be sure to configure the screen resolution in the FSX settings area to match those in windows. I was able to set them up independent of the main screen and each other through the graphics card setup software (nvidia). Again, make sure the resolutions are all matching or the blue screen.
Each touch screen has its own serial connector for the touch output. I run both of them through a four port serial to usb adapter with a single usb to the computor. The touch screens were configured and calibrated using downloaded manufactures' software (planar/elo). After the first installation of that software, I have not had to do anything else concerning the touch screens.
If I am running windows, the five screens look like one giant pallet-I can move open windows applications from the main screen in and out of the individual touch screens and use the mouse or the fingers to click/run the applications. Each touch screen is independant of the other in terms of mouse and touch inputs.
I may have just gotten real lucky that all this works like it does. I will tell you that my wife is not happy with all the time and attention that the system has eaten up. Maybe I can teach this thing how to do the dishes!!
Thanks for the space to brag. Jim

Do you have to remap the touch controls within FSX?

Hmmm, I wonder how the input is being translated into FSX.........
