Software not detecting games when run

I recently purhased a trackir 4 with proclip and it has been working fine for around the past week. But now the software does not detect fsx when it is running hence I cannot use it with fsx. The hardware is fine and it still works when editing my profile but the software simply cannot detect my game on the main page when I run it.

I've tried reinstalling both the trackir software and fsx (which takes alot of time) but to no prevail. It looks like my only option left is to reformat and that still might not work. Please help me as I really want to be able to use my trackir again!

What version of the TrackIR software are you running?

What OS are you running?

Do you have any firewall/antivirus software installed?

Do you have any add-on applications installed for FSX?

Vincent I am having the same exact problem. To go further though I also have IL-2 and the trackir is working fine there.

As for your requested infromation for my system

Trackir software (Trackir 4)
4.1 build 30 and even build 29 was not working I thought maybe that was the problem so I upgraded to the newer version.

OS
XP pro

Add ons
Firewall/antivirus
Yes but disabled while playing for the 3rd party but the XP fire wall is on. (Was runing just the same while it was working)

No add on applications other than SP1.

What firewall/antivirus software do you have installed?

OK, one step to try�.

1 - Delete the following file folder

C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905...........

2 - Insert the FSX CD, and run the repair utility. Basically we are looking to reinstall the folder.

3 - Hopefully this should remedy the issue.

That did the trick for me... I hope it never happens again. Though it is a fairly simple fix it is still annoying to have to sit there for 15 min or so to fix it.
