TrackIR stops working after a while

Hi

I bought a TrackIR 4 Pro to use with Lockon.

For the most part it works perfectly.

However, every now and then, for no apparent reason, the TrackIR just stops working completely. I can be flying around quite happily, then suddenly the view just freezes and the TrackIR is no longer responsive.

When I quit the game, there is no response to head movement within the TrackIR applet, and the software also reports that no device is detected.

A reboot is required to fix this.

This is on XP SP2 and the TrackIR Pro is not connected to a hub. The drivers are the latest ones from your website.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Does it happen after a given period of time?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.
