Lighting issues? TrackIR jumps all over the place

I was playing FSX and all of a sudden my view went nuts. I mean jumping all over the place and like the pilots head was having a conniption of sorts.
I use the TrackIR Pro and have the TrackIR on the top left side of my screen, I have also verified it is centered and getting enough juice. All checks out.
The problem seemed to only occur when the sun shined bright through my window. As soon as the sun went behind some clouds ... all was well again.
So do I have to play this thing in the dark or with minimal lighting or is there an adjustment somewhere I don't see?
Still looking.... seems a but "picky". Please Fix?
EDIT:
I did find the lighting adjustment, but to no avail the sun wins. The filtering just cant distinguish between the dots on my TrackClip Pro and the sun light.
