Start menu hangs with dwellclicker

Hi folks,
This is a strange one, when using my SmartNav 3 and dwellclicker function to navigate the start menu/settings/control panel or start menu/programs/anything on the final click with the dwellclicker to select a program the start menu hangs and remains in foreground. In addition to this the dwellclicker will not operate the quick launch bar, taskbar or system tray. I can however use the dwellclicker in background windows!
I get someone else to operate the standard (USB connected) computer mouse and keyboard they can open Task Manager (using the keyboard). I can take over from there and find that the problem is "Sysfader (it's the Windows program that controls the start menu transitions) is still running, if I end that task the problem goes away but, it also shuts down half of the system tray programs.
I have had someone test the start menu functionality with the USB keyboard and mouse (with dwellclicker still running but switched off and natural point in mouse override mode), it works fine. The only thing I didn't test was USB mouse operations with the dwellclicker doing that clicking.
System details are as follows... Pentium 4, USB keyboard and mouse (via hub), SmartNav 3 AT, driver version 3.2 build 13. I am also using Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 7.3, although I suspect that has nothing to do with it.
I'm not sure what you can do with this any suggestions would be good.
Thanks, Sean
