Track IR device no longer detected - red LED

Hi,
After almost 2 years of enjoyment, last week when I plugged my TrackIR back in to it's normal spot (USB port on the rear panel from the Mobo) it is no longer detected, and the LED is red instead of blue.
I have also tried this on my laptop, and just about every USB port I have on the desktop PC, including a powered USB hub.
Reading through the forums it seems that others have had this problem and that it is likely some hardware failure?
Based on what I have seen in the forums, I have tried the registry fix and also reinstalling TrackIR drivers/software - no help there.
I have seen the following request for information, so will fill it out for you in hopes we can make progress. I need my TrackIR back!
Please send the following information to support:
What is the Serial # of the device?
The serial number is 0xxxxxxx.
Could you send us a copy of the Setupapi.log file?
It should be located in the C:\Windows folder
I've found this file, but how can I send it to you?
Have you tried the device on another system?
Yes, see info at top of post.
Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?
Directly into the system, and have also tried powered hub.
Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?
Yes.
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
Yes, no dice.
Could you attach a screen shot of your Device Manager (showing USB), and tracking screen (TrackIR software -> View -> Tracking)?
I don't know how to post a picture to these forums, but the device manager just shows generic USB hub, USB Root Support, etc - nothing that looks TrackIR-specific.
The tracking screen is blank (except for the settings button), and the Main page says that no device is detected.
Please advise, and thanks in advance,
George
